Specialising in workplace design, refurbishment, fit-out, design & build and relocation management, they work alongside facilities departments, developers, building surveyors and commercial property agents to set industry standards in the design, restructuring and refurbishment of the contemporary workspace.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in interior fit-out / shopfitting to strengthen the commercial team to provide accurate, comprehensive and competitive cost proposals up to tender settlement stage. Projects vary from £10k up to a value of £3m.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
* To price work that meets the criteria of being core business.
* To co-ordinate activities to define a bill of quantities for costing purposes.
* To provide accurate, comprehensive and competitive cost proposals up to tender settlement stage.
* To safeguard the Company's contractual position at all times.
* To analyse enquiry documents for the issue of sub-contract packages.
* To prepare, utilising the estimating package, accurate and comprehensive cost proposals for tender settlement.
* To submit tenders, 'follow up' and negotiate to Contract award, either individually or as part of a team.
* To have prepared Contract files on award and brief Operations accordingly.
* To carry out tender surveys either individually or in conjunction with Operations.
The Person
Ideally you will have prior experience within an interior fit-out / shopfitting contractor environment with a proven track record in the delivery of full 'turnkey' fast track interiors fit-out packages and are able to demonstrate understanding of specialist sub-contractor packages such as joinery, partitioning, ceilings, dry-lining, floors and M&E
The Package
In return this company is willing to offer a package dependent on current earnings and relevant experience circa £35k - £40k plus benefits including a fully expensed company car, bonus, health care, pension etc. |
